Fear Free housecalls
We provide veterinary care in an environment that every pet prefers to traditional veterinary clinics: your home. Using the principles of Fear Free veterinary care — gentle handling, cooperative care, calming pheromones, pre-visit pharmaceuticals, etc. — we provide superior veterinary care while minimizing fear, anxiety, and stress for your pet.
Palliative & senior care
As pets age, their medical needs become increasingly complex. Our Senior Dog Certified veterinarian provides individualized care plans to maximize longevity and quality of life.
Behavioral modification plans
From separation anxiety to noise aversion to house-soiling, behavioral issues are a common concern among pet parents. We investigate underlying pain or medical problems that contribute to behavior disorders, and work with certified dog trainers to provide comprehensive behavioral assessments and treatment plans.
Vaccines & wellness
At this time, due to limited capacity, we are no longer accepting new clients for wellness visits only.
For existing clients, we will continue to provide the convenience of at-home care.
For clients whose pets are receiving behavioral services from us, we will happily provide routine veterinary care at home to lessen the fear, anxiety and stress of veterinary visits.
Pain prevention & management
Pain is vastly underdiagnosed in dogs and cats, since they can’t speak (and rarely even complain). Often, their pain is excruciating by the time a pet parent notices the signs. Using expertise acquired through additional, pain-focused education, we can diagnose and manage both chronic and acute pain.
We also empower pet parents with at-home pain scores to assess themselves whether treatments are working, and to know when additional interventions are needed.
For dogs: Helsinki Chronic Pain Index
For cats: Feline Musculoskeletal Pain Index (FMPI)
Telehealth
We are pleased to provide telehealth appointments, including behavioral rechecks. (Please note that under New York law, animals must have an exam every 12 months to maintain a valid veterinary-client-patient relationship (VCPR). Initial visits cannot be performed via telehealth.)
At-home euthanasia
When the time comes to say goodbye, we would be honored to handle end-of-life care for you and your pet, giving you the emotional space you need to grieve while we handle the rest. On one of the hardest days of a pet parent’s life, rest assured that we aim to provide a passing that is humane and gentle, with as little pain or anxiety as possible, every time.
